Fence Berries

Ever walked along the street

Taking the dog for a nightly stroll

To be suddenly stopped short by a tasty treat

The object of your watery mouths attention

A berry so tasty you just have to eat

But wait it sits across a fence

In another persons yard so perfectly sweet

You look and find some fruit hanging over

Just enough to tempt with its tender meat

Come try the fence-berry it says to you

Picking from your side of the fence isn’t a cheat
