Storm King’s Thunder

What a massive campaign. I can’t say enough about the amount of detail placed into the book, almost too much in some ways. I guess it’s assumed that all player characters aren’t Murder-Hobos and that dialoguing with various monsters might occur, and thus everyone gets a name. Kinda funny when the characters kill a goblin and I remark something to the effect, “‘Ol Gum Gum screams briefly before he dies all too quick from your mighty sword stroke to the neck.”

Plan for lots of time to prep for this campaign and don’t be afraid of “guiding” the characters asking so they aren’t wading in the weeds and thus making it boring for them.

Here’s how I prepped today…

Prep is made a little easier with some beer.
